Groix beaches
A relaxing break on the island of Groix
Just a few minutes from the hotel, the beaches of the island of Groix invite you to relax, dream and stroll. The most beautiful of them all, Plage des Grands Sables, is hidden behind tall grass along the coastal path. From the top of a hill, you can glimpse its convex silhouette, unique in Europe. It's the island's largest beach, with fine white sand and clear water (lifeguard surveillance in July and August).
Discover the beaches of Groix
To the south of Grands Sables, the Sables Rouges beach owes its name to the presence of garnet, a mineral found here particularly when it has been "brewed". Further on, Pointe des Chats is home to blue glaucophane, found only here and in Greenland!
Other beaches await you, such as Locmaria, which faces south and is protected by a bay (kayak hire and shops nearby), Port Mélite, which is sheltered from the wind and easy to get to (optimists can be hired in summer or sailing courses can be organised), and Côte d'Héno, next to Port-Tudy.
